The Profile of The Secretary & Director General

Dr. H R P Yadav did his graduation in Chemical Engineering from BIT Sindri. He did his Master of Technology in Energy and Environmental Management from Indian Institute of Technology, Delhi (IITD) and obtained his Ph.D degree on Research Topic related to "Environmental Engineering" from Jamia Millia Islamia, New Delhi, a Premier Central University of India.

He joined Indian Institute of Technology Delhi as Senior Research Assistant (SRA) and rose to SSO - II. He worked there for three and a half years in a research project and thereafter joined The Institution of Engineers (India) in July 1992. He has held various responsibilities such as technical as well as administrative nature with the Institution. He has already rendered over 30 years of professional services. He has participated in a number of International, National level Seminars, Conference, Workshops, Panel Discussions, Conclaves; etc and also delivered Keynote Addresses, Lectures. He has chaired thematic Sessions on emerging issues of international and national level seminars on energy and environmental issues, technical education; etc. He has published a number of research and review papers in the international and national level Journals and Conference Proceedings.

Dr. Yadav is representing The Institution of Engineers (India) in various apex committees of Govt of India e.g. Committees of Policy Decisions Making of Higher Technical Education of Ministry of Human Resource Development (MHRD), All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), National Board of Accreditation (NBA), University Grants Commission (UGC) and also committees on Renewable Energy of Ministry of New and Renewable Energy (MNRE), Environmental Impacts, Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change (MoEFCC), World Energy Council (WEC), Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS), All India Management Association (AIMA), Department of Science and Technology (DST), Department of Scientific and Industrial Research (DSIR); etc.

He is a Chartered Engineer and a Fellow of the Institution of Engineers (India). He has travelled widely across the country. He has visited Malaysia, UAE during Council Meeting of IEI in June 2015 and Dubai. He has been President for 2016-2018 of BITSAANCR and Alumni of IIT Delhi.
